Is It Suitable for Me?

The Lightning Process is a training not a therapy. In order for it to be effective you have to actively participate so it is important to ensure that this approach feels right for you. You will be applying the tools and techniques taught during the seminar. 98% of those surveyed in 2024 said that they would recommend it to others but I appreciate that for some people it is not the right fit.

The information on this page should hopefully give you some more insight into if this is works for you right now. For more information about the training you can see the training information or the FAQs page.

Key Success Factors:

25 years of research has shown that there are some key factors that contribute to the success of the LP. In other words, do these concepts fit with your way of thinking or are you willing to entertain them if they are unfamiliar and new…

  • Understanding the Brain-mind-body connection – how you can use your brain to change how your body works

  • Being open-minded to new ways of thinking about health

  • Recognising that you can have an important role to play in improving your health

  • A good sense of connection with your chosen trainer

Common Reasons for Taking the LP

Have a look through this list of commons reasons for taking the LP:

  • Exhausted and tired no matter how much rest you get

  • Stuck with re-occurring pain, health symptoms and issues

  • Feels like your body is affected by almost everything

  • Feels as if your body is unable to cope in the way it used to

  • Feeling low and upset much of the time

  • Feeling overwhelmed by things that you used to deal with easily

  • Wanting better health but just can’t find anything that works

If these are familiar to you then the LP could be valuable

Want to know what doctors think and say?

I have seen the lives of some of my patients transformed by this self-empowering technique. Everyone who has battled with chronic illness and wants to win should have the opportunity to do the Lightning Process®.

Raj Munglani, MBBS

I am a medical UK-trained doctor whose life has been transformed by the Lightning Process. The Lightning Process is, without a doubt, an extremely effective training programme which enables participants to make hugely important life-enhancing changes to their health and well-being — rapidly and permanently. The science behind the Process makes absolute sense and the theories behind it are entirely sound. The Process can be applied to an enormous range of problems or issues (for me, learning how to sleep properly again and how to be able to "do" calm and serenity at will, are valuable beyond measure). I have no doubt of the effectiveness of the Process having personally gone from leading a 'stressful' existence to being able to totally engage in and enjoy my life – within 24 hours. I only wish I had done this years ago.

Stephanie Hughes, BSc (Hons) BM BCh (Oxon) MRCGP

Given that 90% of doctor’s visits are the result of stress, stress-reducing techniques can be not only life-saving but also happiness-saving. The techniques taught by Phil Parker are just what the doctor ordered.

Lissa Rankin, MD, best-selling author of Mind Over Medicine and The Fear Cure

I hope the importance of this innovative approach to medical health will spread rapidly to the practice of medicine and to all who need it.

When is it not suitable?

The research suggests that the LP is less likely to help you if you do not think…

  • you can influence your health through a training program

  • the link between the brain, mind and body could be used to improve your symptoms

We have also found that those with a medical diagnosis of active psychosis are not suitable candidates for the LP, as the lack of shared reality makes teaching the skills difficult.

As it involves teaching and understanding concepts, it is not suitable for anyone with a level of comprehension less than that of a six year old. Those with cognitive impairment would need to be assessed on a case by case basis.

As each case is different get in touch to discuss it with me so I can help to assess and advise if it is suitable or not.
